Not many were surprised when the Salem Board of Governors revealed that the witch taking the position as Headmistress (after Edna Malapedi’s immediate resignation after her fiasco with the doxy infestation in November) was Professor Aurelia Popplewell. Poppelwell was a favorite candidate amongst many and had the best credentials - she came from a wealthy and secure background (her father had been the Head of the Department of Magical Transportation, and her mother was a famous herbologist and author) and she had made herself known as a kind but firm leader from her work as the mayor of Croaton in the 80s. Though some wizards and witches saw her unfit for the job because of her lack of experience with teaching, the school couldn’t have asked for a better Headmistress.

(I was gonna wait to post this tomorrow but I got too excited)
So for the select few who knew what I was doing, this is no surprise, but to the rest of you, Here’s my big announcement!
I’m doing a series of pictures about the Magical schools around the world. The equivalents of Hogwarts in various countries, their specialized magical classes, and their school robes!
I decided to start with a canon one, the Salem Witches Institute, but I will venture off into my headcanon schools! Enjoy!

WWHP: Shopping & Dining

Consistent with Hogsmeade, the interiors of all of the shops are amazing. Of course my favorite was the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, wherein one of the employees was walking around with a whoopie cushion and another was bouncing a WWW balloon on a rubber band, which she let me try. They were impressed by my balloon bouncing skills.

The Leaky Cauldron, like the Three Broomsticks, is amazingly immersive, and the food might be even better. We tried the specialty chicken sandwich with chips, which was delicious, and I skipped the butterbeer (since I had the ice cream!) and went for the Fishy Green Ale, which is a mint-flavored soda with boba-like balls of blueberry flavor that bursts in your mouth. It was likewise delicious, and fun!
